Yehuda's Chess Club at Chabad NDG!

Weekly on Wednesdays beginning November 6th and ending on Wednesday, December 25th.
Target audience: Children of ages 6-17 years old looking for a safe environment to learn, play and enjoy chess.
Registration fee: $90 for the first registrant per family and $54 for each additional sibling.
Tournament fee of $36 per participant/spectator (includes Chanukah lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm)
Class dates/times: November 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th from 5:30pm until 7:00pm o December 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, 18th from 5:30pm until 7:00pm o December 25th - Optional tournament from 10:00am until 4:00pm
Class structure: Each class will begin with a lesson and a puzzle
Week 1 - Introduction to the Chess Club and ice breakers. Yehuda will then assess skill levels of the club participants and then two groups will be formed: 1. Those who already know how to play chess will be partnered and can begin playing immediately following the introduction. 2. First time players or players that are feeling rusty will begin Yehuda’s first lesson.
Weeks 2, 3, 4 and 5 - Free Play and Lesson
Week 6 - Friendly Tournament.
The winner of this tournament plays two games with Yehuda.
Week 7 - Free Play and Learning
Week 8 - Grand Tournament
